12/22/17 – Glascock, GA – Armed Robbery Call At A Mini Mart – While Deputies Were Investigating – Two Suspects Stole A Glascock Deputies Car – Chase – Captured

The suspect who investigators say stole Glascock County Sheriff Jeremy Kelley’s patrol car while investigators were on the scene of an armed robbery has been identified.

Kyle Mathew Tarr, 27, was arrested for the theft of the patrol vehicle. Additional charges are pending against Tarr.

According to the GBI, the Glascock County Sheriff’s Office requested their assistance around 9:29 p.m. Thursday night regarding the armed robbery that had occurred just after 9 p.m. at the Mini Mart on East Main Street in Gibson.

Preliminary investigation revealed that an unknown white male wearing dark colored clothing brandished a handgun as the employees of the business were leaving and took an undisclosed amount of money from them.

Deputies and the GBI later located the stolen patrol vehicle at the 100 block of Dean Street in Gibson.
