A marked Jacksonville police cruiser stolen Saturday from a Westside officer’s burglarized home has been found, police said.
A stolen Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office police cruiser has been found, three days after it was taken from an officer’s Westside home, authorities said.
A citizen’s tip led to the recovery, according to the Sheriff’s Office.
The officer told investigators she came home about 10 a.m. Sunday to find her home burglarized and her police cruiser missing, the Sheriff’s Office said. The cruiser was clearly marked with all Sheriff’s Office insignia, as well as its number. Several firearms were also believed to be missing, no word from the Sheriff’s Office if they or police-related equipment inside the cruiser were also recovered.
