A Thibodaux woman remains jailed after lying about a killing and driving off in a sheriff’s patrol car as deputies investigated.

Lafourche Parish Sheriff Craig Webre says Loralyn Boudreaux, 34, approached deputies Thursday evening screaming about a death, telling them that the killer and victim were still inside a neighboring house.

When deputies went inside, Webre says Boudreaux sped away in their patrol car.

Deputies found the abandoned car more than a mile away, finding Boudreaux arguing with a man outside a house.

As deputies arrested her, Webre says Boudreaux punched one in the face. Webre says deputies found guns and drug paraphernalia at the first house, later finding what appears to be methamphetamine.

Boudreaux is jailed in the Lafourche Parish on multiple charges, with bail set at $32,000.
