Bexar County deputies were led on quite the chase Tuesday when a suspect managed to steal not one, but two cars, one of them being a BCSO vehicle.

Deputies said they were attempting to execute a felony arrest and search warrant. They said they came across an individual matching the description of the man wanted in the warrant.

The man fled in a vehicle before abandoning it and taking off on foot, deputies said.

As deputies pursued the man, the suspect allegedly managed to steal an unmarked BCSO vehicle that one of them had been driving. He then evaded a pursuit into Comal County and abandoned the vehicle near a mobile home park in the 5000 block of Highway 81.

The man who led the deputies on the chase remains at large.

Bexar County Sheriff’s Office could not confirm that the man being sought on warrants was the same man who led deputies on the chase.
