A patrol car was stolen and crashed into an apartment building Wednesday, the Los Angeles Police Department said.

The person behind the wheel was taken into custody, the LAPD said.

The stolen cruiser was crashed into the Tuscany apartment building at 39th Street and Figueroa, officials said. One person was taken to the hospital, but it wasn’t immediately clear if it was the driver or someone else.

NBC4 is attempting to determine to which agency the patrol vehicle belongs.
