2/27/18 – Barre, CAN – Store Break – 3 Suspects Loading Televisions Into Car – Fled On Foot – 1 Suspect Steals Patrol Car – K9 – Caught Him Later

A Barrie police cruiser was stolen while officers were investigating a break and enter at the Canadian Tire on Mapleview Drive.

Police arrived at the store around three this morning and saw three suspects loading several televisions into a vehicle.

The trio fled on foot, and one suspect managed to steal a cruiser.

The GPS system was used to locate the vehicle on Innnisfil Beach Road near Industry Parkway.

Canine units from Barrie Police and South Simcoe Police located a 38 year old man, who is now facing several charges.

Two other suspects, a man and a woman, are being sought.
