The Advocate 03-12-09
WESTPORT -- Westport Police arrested an 18-year-old man and a 15 year old
boy after a car chase Wednesday afternoon for allegedly using a stolen Crown
Ford Victoria to try to pull over another motorist on Greens Farms Road, police
said.
Police followed the Crown Victoria after observing it driving with blue
strobe lights flashing and apparently attempting to pull over another car,
according to police.
After a chase, the car was pulled over when it turned onto a dead-end road,
according to police.
The car had been reported stolen from the Longshore Country Club on South Compo
Road, police said.
The driver, Alexander P. Dlinn, of 11 Woods Grove Road was charged with
third-degree larceny, second-degree criminal trover, impersonating a police
officer, and risk of injury to a minor, according to police.
He was also cited for engaging police in pursuit, and failing to obey a stop
sign, according to police.
Police withheld the name of the 15-year-old boy because of his age. The boy will
also be charged with similar offenses to Dlinn, and his case will be referred to
the Juvenile Matters Division of state Superior Court in Stamford.
He was held on $10,500 bond, and is scheduled to appear in state Superior Court
in Norwalk on March 23, according to police.۩
