Cradle Robber Steals Police Cruiser While Underage Lover Gets Cuffed

Westlake, OH - Police tried to pull over a car for speeding early Saturday morning and what they discovered would make for a wild arrest.

33-year-old Frankie Molina failed to pull over when police tried to stop him for speeding on I-90 westbound around 1:23 a.m. Saturday.

Molina drove the car into a ditch on I-90 near Route 83 where he and his underage lover, a 15-year-old Cleveland girl, then tried to run from the officer.

The officer caught the female and while struggling to handcuff her, Molina jumped into the cop's cruiser and took off.

The police cruiser was later found in a field a  later by Avon Police at Route 83 and Main Street in Avon, OH. Molina was no where to be found.

Westlake Police called in for mutual aid from neighboring cities to try and find Frankie Molina. Avon, Avon Lake, North Ridgeville, Rocky River, and the Ohio State Highway Patrol all joined in the search.

At 1:47 a.m., Molina was spotted and police tried to arrest him, but he resisted. Police unleashed their K-9 cop, which bit Molina, and used a taser gun in order to handcuff him.

Molina and his girlfriend tried say Molina was 17-years-old, but police quickly figured out they were both trying cover up that he was actually 33-years-old.

Molina was treated and released from Lakewood Hospital and is currently being held in the Westlake City Jail awaiting arraignment.

Westlake felony charges against Molina at the minimum will include vandalism, disrupting public service, grand theft of a motor vehicle, and felony fleeing. Molina also faces numerous traffic and misdemeanor charges, the most serious of which are driving under the influence and driving under suspension.

Molina's 15-year-old lover was released to a parent. The female will be filed in Juvenile Court on charges of disorderly conduct-persisting, underage consumption of alcohol, resisting arrest, obstructing official business, and curfew. The female was not involved in the theft of the police cruiser
