Police Say Slain Teen Stole Secret Service Car on Saturday

WASHINGTON -- A teenager was found dead Tuesday next to a stolen car that is registered to the U.S. Secret Service.
D.C. police said gunshots were fired around 2:10 a.m. Tuesday along the 500 block of 47th Street in Northeast.
When officers arrived, they found an 18-year-old man lying in the street next to a black Chrysler Concorde. The driver's side window of the Chrysler was shot out.
The teen was pronounced dead a short time later.
Police believe the teen stole the car on Saturday from a home in Oxon Hill, Md. The car belongs to the U.S. Secret Service.
Witnesses said they saw a white Mercury Grand Marquis fleeing the scene. The Mercury was seen heading south on 47th Street.
