Tulsa Police arrested a woman who is accused of stealing an officer's
cruiser. The incident started Friday night near 111th and Memorial, and
ended near 129th Street and Memorial in Bixby.
According to Tulsa Police Sergeant Mark Watson, a woman told an officer that
another woman tried to run her off the road. When the officer questioned the
suspect, he thought it appeared that she had been drinking.
The officer put the woman in handcuffs, and placed her in the back of his patrol
car. While the officer interviewed witnesses, the suspect slipped out of the
handcuffs, and took off in the police car.
As she was pulling away, the car brushed the officer, so he fired shots at
his own car. A witness then told the officer to get into his truck, and they
chased the suspect who was driving the cop car.
The officer caught up to the woman at 129th and Memorial and arrested her.
