TAMPA - Police arrested a man they say stole an undercover FBI car.
Detectives say an officer spotted someone driving the stolen car recklessly
in the area of 26th Street and Linebaugh Avenue around 11 p.m. The officer
lost sight of the car, but spotted it a time later parked in front of a nearby
home.
Police said the officer arrested Harold Scheidemann, 48, when he got out of the
car. According to a news release, Scheidemann denied stealing the car but said,
"I'm just here to buy some crack cocaine."
Scheidemann was already on probation for a previous grand theft auto arrest,
police said. He's charged with grand theft auto, car burglary and violation of
probation.
Scheidemann is being held at the Orient Road Jail on $4,000 bond, according to
jail records
