ST. PETERSBURG, Fla. -- An unmarked patrol car assigned to a Pinellas County sheriff's lieutenant has been stolen from the parking lot of a St. Petersburg shopping mall.

No weapons or official identification were in the car. But Gurley lost some personal belongings.

The thief dumped them in an alley a few miles away.
