No trace of stolen police car and weapons
SEATTLE - Authorities reported no new leads in their
search for a police vehicle stolen in South Seattle
on Friday.
The car was stolen sometime between 10:30 a.m. and
5:30 p.m. An officer working during WTO anniversary
activities left the unmarked, white 1999 Ford Crown
Victoria parked outside the Metro bus barn at Sixth
Avenue South, said Sgt. John Urquhart of the King
County Sheriff's Office. The car, license plate 51689C,
had a rifle and a shotgun in the trunk, and numerous
rounds of ammunition, Urquhart said.
Anyone with information about the car is asked to call
911.
