Man Steals Squad Car, Fails to Escape Police

San Mateo County - A 26-year-old man stole a patrol  
car yesterday afternoon and led police on a  pursuit 
through three cities, investigators said.

Mateo police were called to a disturbance on Beresford Court
about 4 pm. The responding officer, who was not identified,
got out of his car to break up a fight between two men 
arguing about a necklace, said Sgt. Kevin Raffaelli.
