OFFICER'S CAR STOLEN AS POSSIBLE HALLOWEEN TRICK

11/1/99
SAN DIEGO, CA - A San Diego police officer's patrol unit was
stolen Sunday evening while the officer was monitoring a Halloween
concert on Fiesta Island.

The cruiser was reported stolen at about 9:30 p.m., but found within
30 minutes. Police were alerted to the location of the car when a
person called dispatchers, using the police radio inside the car.

the cruiser and run away.
