Salt Lake City Police arrested two men Saturday for investigation of vehicle burglary in connection with the theft of an unmarked Salt Lake City SWAT vehicle.

The vehicle — which police described as a generic, "utility-type vehicle" — was taken between 10 p.m. Thursday and 8 a.m. Friday from Farmington and was found Friday morning in Woods Cross. Police said there was no sign of forced entry and noted that all the SWAT equipment was still in the vehicle when it was found.

Detectives investigating the incident were able to track down two men they believed to have been involved in the theft, Salt Lake City Police Sgt. Shawn Josephson said. Police obtained a search warrant for the hotel room the two men were in and were able to find some small items that had been taken from the truck.

"It sounds like gloves and hats and something very minor like that," Josephson said, noting that he had yet to verify that information.

Ernest Davis, 29, was booked into Davis County Jail for investigation of vehicle theft, vehicle burglary, theft, possession of methamphetamine and possession of drug paraphernalia. Blake Belliston, 23, was booked into Davis County Jail for investigation of vehicle burglary.
