PINECREST, Fla. (WSVN) -- Someone swiped an undercover squad car in broad daylight, and police want the public's help to find it.

The car looks like the one depicted here. It's a 2004 model, dark gray, four-door Dodge Intrepid. The tag number is 846 ICC, and there was a rifle inside the vehicle at the time of the theft.

Police said someone stole it from the parking lot of a shopping plaza located along South Dixie Highway near 112th Street in Pinecrest early in the day Tuesday.

Investigators are urging the public not touch the vehicle or handle its contents, as it would damage valuable crime scene evidence.
