Philadelphia, PA - Marked Philadelphia Police Car Stolen While Officer Was Processing An Arrest

Philadelphia police are asking for your help finding a stolen car and what's surprising is who the car was stolen from.

Philadelphia police are looking for a stolen police vehicle:

" I mean, someone's got to be pretty brave to go into a police yard and take a police vehicle without permission."

Philadelphia police lieutenant Frank Vanore says the officer who was assigned to the vehicle, tried to return to it after processing an arrest at Northwest Detectives, but when he went out to the parking lot, the car was gone:

"There was a set of keys in a compartment inside a vehicle and we're assuming that that's the set being used to operate the vehicle."

Lieutenant Vanore is asking folks to keep an eye out for it:

"The car is a marked police car. It's a 2008 Chevy. It beats the tag MG7130D. We're hoping that if someone sees that vehicle, that they call 911."
