09/14/98

A Pennsylvania State Police cruiser was stolen early
Sunday morning but found about four hours later.

State police at the Frackville barracks said troopers in
the vicinity of the Kaska playground along SR209 in
Blythe Township, about 3:30 a.m., were investigating
a possible underage drinking party when someone
entered the marked cruiser and fled the area.

About 7:30 a.m. the cruiser, which had the markings
L3-9 on the front fenders, hood and trunk, was found
in a mountainous area of  Blythe Township. The probe
into the incident is continuing.
