Police: Inmate Escaped, Stole Car From State Agency In Morganton

MORGANTON, N.C. -- Authorities in Morganton are looking for an inmate who
they say escaped in a stolen car.
Police say the 18-year-old stole the vehicle from the J. Iverson Riddle
Development Center just off Interstate 40 and Enola Road.
He was wearing a green prison jumpsuit when he took off in the red 1999 Ford
with the N.C. license plate WRS-1725, authorities said.
If you see the car, you should call 911.
