Couple found dead inside Merced, CA home. Detective car stolen with shot gun & police radio

An arrest Friday is possibly connected to the theft of a detective's car that was parked at the scene of a double murder.

Mark Pleasant was in jail Friday night and three others were being questioned.

Pleasant was arrested at this home on East Sante Fe on Friday when police and deputies served a search warrant.

Investigators say the house appears to be a Hell's Angels hangout and is one block from where the unmarked detective's car was found Wednesday.

The car was parked across Highway 59, where an elderly couple was bludgeoned to death, before it was stolen.

The sheriff says the detectives car was locked, but running at the time, with a loaded shotgun, lights and police radio inside. Those items were not taken, but the sheriff says a digital camera, bulletproof vest, and most disturbingly — the names and addresses of Merced County Sheriff's deputies — are missing.
