A Love County man is in jail for trying to set a house on fire and stealing a police car. Gary Williams was caught on South Brock Road, in Love County, trying to set a house on fire where a child was inside. When police arrived and tried to stop him, he attacked police officers, jumped into a police car and led the officers on a chase. He finally surrendered and was charged with first degree arson and five counts of assault and battery on a police officer.
