A Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department patrol car was stolen in San
Bernardino County, a police sergeant said today.
The vehicle was reported stolen about 8 p.m. yesterday from an apartment
complex in the 1000 block of South Palmetto Avenue in Ontario, said Ontario
police Sgt. Jim Vandever.
The deputy responsible for the vehicle called Ontario police and reported it
stolen, Vandever said.
It was not immediately known why the vehicle was at the location, Vandever said,
adding it was possible that the deputy resides there
