Police: Man Charged with DUI after Stealing and Crashing Police Cruiser Save Email Print

 LOGAN, W.Va. (WSAZ) -- A man from Logan County faces several charges after investigators say he took a police cruiser for a joyride and then crashed it a few miles away.

The incident happened late Monday night.

The State Police cruiser was left at a  garage in Logan County for maintenance.

Police say Earnest Plumley stole the vehicle and headed down Route 10 where he was later involved in an accident.

Plumley was charged with DUI, driving on a suspended license, and joyriding. Police say his blood alcohol level was .20.

No other details are being released at this time. We're told the incident is still under investigation
