LINCOLN, Neb. (AP) - Lincoln police are searching for a former Bellevue police cruiser stolen from a Lincoln business over the weekend.

The cruiser was involved in a police chase early Sunday.

Authorities say the white 2003 Ford Crown Victoria was being stripped of its police markings when it was stolen Saturday night.

The car, valued at $3,500, had a blue strip, the word "Bellevue" on its sides and the number "208" on its trunk.

An officer spotted the car around 3:30 a.m Sunday and chase it. The officer stopped the chase because it became dangerous to others.
