Lawrence, KS - 20 Year old student Arrested for Trying to Steal A Patrol Car

 Lawrence Police arrested a 20-year old man for trying to steal a patrol car at bar closing time early Saturday in the 1400 block of Ohio Street.

Police said that when an officer got out of a squad car shortly before 2 a.m. to help other officers with crowd control, the student got into the car and began revving the engine.

Officers arrested the man and another 20-year-old who police said tried to interfere with the arrest. Both were found with fake IDs, police said.
