LAMBERTVILLE — An intoxicated city resident was arrested Sunday after
attempting to enter a marked patrol car, police said.
Patrolman Anthony Memolo, who was parked on Bridge Street near Lambert Lane, saw
Gabriel Vasquez, 21, walking in the street around 2:25 a.m. When Vasquez
reached the patrol car, he opened the front passenger side door and climbed
inside, police said. Vasquez refused to stop as he continued to climb over
equipment in the car, police said. He was then forcibly removed from the car and
restrained.
Memolo was also told by pedestrians that Vasquez had been urinating along the
Free Bridge as he walked across from New Hope, Pa., according to police.
Vasquez was arrested and charged with disorderly conduct. He was later released
with a pending court date.
