Klamath Falls, OR - Nampa Man Dies After Crashing Stolen Police Car

A 20-year old Nampa man who stole and then crashed a sport utility Sheriff's
Police Car has died of injuries sustained in the crash. Anthoney
Nickerson someone managed to get into the driver's seat of the Lake County,
Oregon Sheriff's Department Vehicle while handcuffed. He has been pulled
over for riding in a stolen vehicle.
Nickerson rolled the SUV after police had spiked one of the tires in an
attempt to stop him during a pursuit. He was then bumped by an Oregon State
Trooper, causing the SUV to roll.
Despite his death, an investigation by Oregon State Police is continuing.
