A Juvenile Corrections Officer was attacked by a teen inmate, who then stole his car.

Before the attack, the 17-year-old inmate was taken to Wesley Medical Center to be checked for a possible injury. As he left with the officer, he complained his handcuffs were too tight. When the officer went to loosen them, the teen punched him in the face, jumped into officer's car, and took off.

The car was found a hours later. Police are still looking for the teen. He is described as a 17-year-old black male, 6'2", with a thin build. He was last seen wearing a blue-green jumpsuit with the Juvenile Detention Facility logo on the back.

Authorities have not released a name or picture because the suspect is a minor.

If you see someone matching the teen's description, call 911. Because he attacked an officer, he should be considered dangerous and should not be approached.
