Iowa City, Ia. — An Iowa City man was arrested Saturday after an officer
found the man in a police vehicle, police said.
An Iowa City police officer was conducting an investigation in the 600 block of
East Court Street, and when the officer went to secure his patrol vehicle, he
found Henry Jay Kaufmann, 24, inside, police said.
Kaufmann allegedly tried to take a black box that contained police equipment.
Kaufmann was intoxicated, police said.
