Humbolt Park, Ill - A suspect is still at large after he managed
to escape, while handcuffed, in a patrol car.

The suspect, who police say they know by name, was placed into
handcuffs by an officer after the suspect failed to produce a driver's
license during a traffic stop at about 8 p.m. on Sunday evening.

The man, in his 20's, allegedly climbed into the unmarked police
vehicle, sat down in the driver's seat and took off.

Police would not say whether the suspect was handcuffed behind his
back, only stating that, "the case is under investigation."

The squad car was discovered in an alley, but the suspect was
not found.
