15 Year Old Found Guilty Of Grand Larceny

A 15-year-old Hilton Head Island girl has been found 
guilty of grand larceny today-- in connection to
a stolen police car. After the girl stole the car-- 
she wrecked it on highway two-78 in Bluffton
Township. It happened June eleventh. The girl also 
admitted to leaving the scene of an accident. She
will be returned to the Beaufort county family court 
for sentencing. The girl stole the car after a
Beaufort county sheriffs deputy placed her in the 
car during a domestic dispute call. The deputies
were inside a house when she jumped into the drivers 
seat and took off.
Meanwhile, the deputy who left her in the squad car 
alone has been disciplined. Patrol Officer Greg
Homrich will have to pay the insurance premium. He
has also been transferred to northern Beaufort
County and placed in a probationary period.
