Suspect Who Stole Hapeville, GA Police Car is still on the loose

A police officer’s patrol car was stolen
Thursday in Hapeville, Georgia and later recovered in Clayton County. The
suspect is still on the loose.
Around 8:30 p.m., an undercover officer responded to a car theft in progress.
When uniform police arrived at the scene, they were able to apprehend the
suspect.
The suspect then somehow managed to get away from authorities and sped off in
a police car.
The suspect is described as a Black male, standing 5’10" to 5’11"
and may be in his early to mid 20s. He has a medium build, with no facial hair,
a short haircut and acne scars on his face.
He may be armed and dangerous, authorities said.
The suspect, when captured, will be charged with attempted murder on a police
officer and aggravated assault.
