sheriff's
cruiser
that
was
stolen
this
evening
in
Goose
Creek
has
been
located,
a
spokesman
for
the
Sheriff's
Office
said.
The
deputy
who
was
driving
the
vehicle,
sheriff's
Capt.
Cliff
McElvogue,
was
visiting
a
residence
in
Goose
Creek
and
had
gone
inside
for
a
moment,
Moon
said.
When
the
deputy
came
outside
about
7:55
p.m.,
the
vehicle
was
gone.
The
cruiser
had
at
least
one
handgun
inside
it,
Moon
said.
The
vehicle
was
recovered
about
11
p.m.
not
far
from
where
it
had
been
stolen,
Moon
said.
It
was
abandoned
on
Springhall
Road
in
the
Crowfield
subdivision.
Deputies
were
processing
the
vehicle,
Moon
said.
He
did
not
know
if
the
handgun
had
been
recovered.
The deputy who was driving the vehicle, sheriff's Capt. Cliff McElvogue, was visiting a residence in Goose Creek and had gone inside for a moment, Moon said. When the deputy came outside about 7:55 p.m., the vehicle was gone.
The cruiser had at least one handgun inside it, Moon said.
The vehicle was recovered about 11 p.m. not far from where it had been stolen, Moon said. It was abandoned on Springhall Road in the Crowfield subdivision.
Deputies were processing the vehicle, Moon said. He did not know if the handgun had been recovered.
