Georgia - Inmate Steals Douglasville Police Car from Police Station

The Douglasville Police Department is searching for an inmate worker trustee who stole one of their cars.

John Leopoldo Salinas was washing a police car at the police station when, according to Major Mo Harper, he just grabbed the keys and took off at about 1:00 Tuesday afternoon.

Investigators say Salinas took a 1997 Ford Crown Victoria.

Salinas was being held on forgery, identity fraud and probation violation charges when he took off.
