Glendale, AZ - Officer's Car Stolen with Police Equipment inside - Gun, Taser, Uniform Missing
Thief Steals Police Equipment
PHOENIX (CBS 5 News) -- A car thief is on the run with an off-duty police
officer's car and the weapons that were inside.
Someone stole the Glendale officer's car from the parking lot at the Metro
center Mall in Phoenix over the weekend.
The thief made off with a gun, taser, handcuffs and a Glendale police
uniform.
Early Monday morning, the car was found, but the gear was gone.
Glendale police do have a policy in place instructing officers not to leave
equipment in their personal cars if they're parked more than an hour.
Supervisors have not yet decided on any disciplinary action for the officer in
this case.
