WASH D.C. - The second of two stolen D.C. police cars was found yesterday
in a church parking lot on Brightseat Road in Glenarden, police said.
The first stolen cruiser was recovered Wednesday.
The unmarked black Crown Victoria was stolen Tuesday from outside the
Metropolitan Police Department's Internal Affairs Division in Northeast.
There were no weapons in either cruiser, but their trunks were full of riot
gear. It was not clear yesterday whether the gear was recovered with the car.
The stolen cruisers caused authorities particular concern because they
feared someone might use them to breach the city's security, police said.
