Fulton Man who Stole Police Car Sent to Jail Page
09/02/00
(AP) - A Fulton man was sentenced to
two and a half to five-years in prison on
Wednesday after stealing a police vehicle
and leading authorities on a two-county
chase back in February.
Police say-39-year-old Gary Conner took a
state police sport utility vehicle with his
wife handcuffed in the back seat on February
24th after a state police trooper stopped the
couple.
After a two-and-half-hour chase, Conner
rammed into a tree and was arrested.
Conner pleaded guilty to seven felony counts
and five misdemeanor counts back in June.
He is scheduled to be back in Cayuga
County Court later this month.
