A man crashed his car into another car early Monday morning and then hid in a field before trying to steal a police car.

It started when the 30-year-old man crashed into a car at Cedar and California just before 3:00 AM Monday morning.

He tried to hide in a nearby field but police chase after him and he somehow ended up in the driver’s seat of one of the police cars. Police caught the suspect and arrested him. He is charged with DUI and hit and run.

The driver of the car he hit only suffered minor injuries.
