Suspect Stole Police Car - Farmers Branch, TX

Police Tuesday arrested a man following a high-speed chase
involving several vehicles, including a stolen police car.

Police said they pulled over the suspect because of an expired
inspection sticker.

However, the driver, who had reportedly just moved to North
Texas from Mexico, didn't wait around to receive a ticket,
according to police.

Instead, officials said, the man somehow managed to slip
behind the wheel of the police car before speeding away.

As police gave chase, the 24-year-old suspect eventually
ditched the police cruiser for a pick-up truck, according
to police.

Police also said the suspect crashed that truck during the chase
and attempted two more carjackings at a fast food restaurant
before police arrested him.

The entire pursuit wound through the streets of Northlake, Argyle,
Lewisville, Carrollton and Farmers Branch, officials said.

It began in Northlake, near Argyle in west Denton County,
continued east along FM 407 and then south on Stemmons Freeway,
ending inside the city limits of Farmers Branch, according to
police.
