COLUMBIA, Ky. (AP) -- An Adair County jail inmate is on the run after stealing the jailer's car keys and escaping a hospital where he was getting medical treatment.

Police in Columbia say Christian N- Wheeler drove off in a 1995 green Jeep Cherokee from Westlake Regional Hospital early yesterday morning.

 The 31-year-old Wheeler is about 5 foot-6 and weights 155 pounds. He has brown hair and blue eyes.

Wheeler had previously escaped from custody when an Adair County court session was taking place.
