Armed City of Miami Police Car Stolen
May 20, 2002 - News@4
Miami police are looking for an armed patrol car which was taken from
outside an officer's home.

The white 1998 Ford Taurus patrol car with City of Miami Police
seal on its doors was stolen this morning.
It contained a shotgun, handgun and police radio, as well as
other police-related items.
Lieutenant Bill Schwartz says the contents could worryingly be used
by someone posing as a police officer.
Detective Delrish Moss says the theft of a police car is rare.
The South Florida Sun-Sentinel quotes him as also warning the potential
for putting the police car to ill-use was great, especially for a robber
posing as an officer.
Both officers appealed for information about the car's whereabouts.
It's numbered 980090 on the outside and has a yellow license plate with
the number 130 012 on it.
