Ohio Deputy Recovering, Police Cruiser Stolen and Crashed

The Butler County Sheriff’s deputy who was shot April 20 while trying to apprehend two robbery suspects was released from the hospital, Friday.
Deputy Brandon Roberts, 26, of Hamilton, was discharged from Miami Valley Hospital in Dayton Friday afternoon.
He will continue his recovery – which includes physical therapy – at home.
According to authorities, on April 20, Mark Kendrick, 25, and Robert Morris, 19, both of Hanover Township, went on a crime spree armed with sawed-off shotguns.
The pair robbed a gas station in Camden and then drove to the Lazy Dog drive-through on Ohio 127 in Milford Township, authorities said, where Roberts confronted them.
Kendrick fired a deer slug, wounding Roberts, authorities said, and the two then stole the deputy’s weapons and cruiser and led police on a chase before crashing in a culvert.
Kendrick and Morris have been indicted on nearly 30 charges stemming from the incidents.
