He was arrested for drunk driving, and troopers say it took a manhunt to catch him.

Saturday morning, state troopers say they spotted Joseph Matthew Bush on FM 2818, driving erratically.

Despite using sirens and lights to get him to pull over, officers say Bush began driving more aggressively, and only stopped when he crashed his car in a yard at a home near the intersection of Austin and Rio Grande.

Police say Bush then fled on foot.

They say the officer involved caught him several times, but that Bush managed to get away, then began to hop fences from yard to yard.

Police say a manhunt ensued and Bush was eventually caught. His partial bond was set at $6,500.

While the officer was chasing Bush, troopers say another man got into the officer's patrol car.

27-year-old Christopher Alexander was arrested after police say he first entered Bush's vehicle and tampered with evidence.

Officers say he then took a spin behind the wheel of the patrol car.

He was in another patrol car a short time later, only this time in the back seat as he was headed for the Brazos County Jail.

Bond for Alexander was set for $12,000
