A woman is facing charges after Bristol, Tennessee police say she stole one of their cruisers and crashed it.
31-year-old Jilley Nichole Miles, of Bristol, Virginia, is now charged with DUI, leaving the scene of an accident, theft over $10,000 and escape. Other charges are pending.
Brsitol, Tennessee police say they got a call about a hit and run in Washington County, Virginia and were able to stop the suspect in the area of Springdale Drive. That suspect was Miles and officers say she tried to back over them.
They arrested Miles and put her in the back of the cruiser. Police say that's when she was able to get out of the handcuffs and crawl through the dividing window to the driver's seat.
On her drive, police say she hit a brick column at the corner of Avondale and eventually crashed at the intersection of New Hampshire and 2nd Street.
