Boyle Co., KY - Prisoner Steals Officer's Cruiser - Officer Injured - Crashes Into Family of Three Trying to Escape.
Police said an inmate on the run crashed into a car with a seven-month-old child inside.
Roy Lee Cox was on his way to the Boyle County Detention Center Saturday when police said he overpowered the jailer driving the cruiser on US 127. Then crashed the Stolen Cruiser
Police said Adam and Jennifer Wilson and their infant girl were in the direct path of Cox.
The Wilson's baby was not hurt.
The jailer transporting Cox had a cut on his face.
Cox was originally arrested in Mercer County on a probation violation. He now faces additional charges related to his attempted escape.
