Montana Man charged with Stealing Cop Car
Lodge Grass resident Richard Redfield, 35, Wednesday denied federal charges
that he stole and damaged a police car belonging to the Bureau of Indian
Affairs.
Redfield pleaded not guilty to a charge of degrading government property and
theft of government property. The maximum punishment for each crime is 10
years in prison and a $250,000 fine.
U.S. Magistrate Richard Anderson ordered Redfield held in custody. The case will
be heard by Senior U.S. District Judge Jack Shanstrom.
