Atlanta police continued on Saturday looking for the man who took a marked police car only to abandon it then he carjacked a silver Isuzu Rodeo.

Police spokesman Eric Schwartz says virtually nothing is known of the man because he was driving a stolen truck when officers first stopped him Friday on Campbellton Road in southwest Atlanta.

Once stopped, he refused to get out of the red truck. As police tried to pull him out, he got away from them and drove off in the officers’ car. Two of the officers were hit but their injuries were minor and did not require hospitalization, Schwartz said.

At the intersections of Dodson Drive and Cascade Road, the man took the Isuzu. “We have not spotted that vehicle since,” Schwartz said Saturday.
