Authorities Recover Stolen Police Car in Altamonte Springs, Florida

Authorities have found the stolen police car they were searching for
thanks to a tip from a passerby.

Jack Hinkle says he was on his way to work at Disney, when he saw
something that sparked his attention in the parking lot of the First
United Methodist Church in Pine Hills.

“I saw the cop car sitting right there in the parking lot so I flagged
down a lady with a cell phone and she uh, called the police.” said
Hinkle.

The police car disappeared around 3:15 Wednesday morning, after
an Altamonte Springs police officer responded to a suspicious person
call at the Chattam Harbor Apartments.

The officer got out of the car and chased the suspect in the woods, when
he returned, his car was gone.
