A 17-year-old from Roslyn is suspected of stealing two vehicles, including a sheriff’s department car, and pulling a gun on a man before he was apprehended in western Minnesota.
The teen, who was not identified because of his age, was taken in to custody near Dawson, Minn, after a vehicle pursuit Thursday afternoon, authorities said.
The patrol car was taken about 2 a.m., Thursday when a deputy got out to see if doors were locked at a Lake City bar what had been burglarized earlier, said Marshall County Sheriff, Dale Elsen.
The patrol car was later found abandoned north of Eden and a pickup truck was reported stolen near Eden.
Terry Beumer, of Wilmot, said a young man he encountered at a cabin on Big Stone Lake, Thursday held a gun on time, tied him up and took him about a mile from the cabin in a white pickup truck before releasing him, unharmed.
